A tribute for my Mother

My mum is a soft being, sweet in the heart and always so humble... I bully her sometimes cuz she is just too nice : )

I love you mum and these represent her so much!

The short's for as long as i've been alive, I have never seen mum wear anything that passes her ankles. However she loves bows and she can make the most beautiful of bows and takes her time doing it too : )

Mama loves tea and beautiful cups, cashmere and pinks

She is so lady like and she is all mine (ooh forgot i share her with my beautiful lil sis but I don't mind at all)

I absolutely love following these girls (not stalking) Their style is on point and they really Ace each of their style. This picture has so much to say, but I'm gonna concentrate on the head wraps. So we all know there different types of wrapping, from turbans to a bow tie and so on. These girls have taken it to another level...

Colour Contrast Lesson

For everything there's education behind it, today I decided to share with you all how to do the whole colour blocking thing of Spring. How do you mix primary colours with secondary colours? Easy here's how:

Pick a colour and it's immediate opposite is the match, say, pick yellow and it would go perfectly with violet. But Orange can also go perfectly with with violet and Blue-Violet. Do you get the picture?

organising my space

Lately I've been so busy that I don't get time for me or even for anything else apart from work. I must say I am not complaining in terms of being busy but I need someone to come and help and that's rear even for me. I need to put new stuff at FT and organise myself more but time is of an essence after all.

I think the only time lately I've been getting to think of any other than work is when I blog which is becoming infrequent too. I would love to get time to redecorate our house, my closet and my office needs a total make over.

For someone who has to much of everything I don't know how this is going to work. I have a walk in closet that is almost full and I continue to buy : * mmh! Somethings still have tags and have never been worn but I still think one day I'll put it on with no where to go. I absolutely love this closet it's clean but too small for moi I think. I think I need the Decorista, and please the easier for me to put my clothes back the better.

I love this but i'm a lingerie person : ) I love feeling good from the inside out. So mmh need to think of how i'd do this but this is so neat and easy!

Next project is my office, I hate executive desks, I love this and need more storage and an inspiration board. That would be so cool, so I can look at it all the time and be inspired!

Love this too, and flowers will help to make me feel fresh and brighten my mood at busy times!

Maybe i'll share the before and after, that's if I get to it! : )

Colour combo, did you know that pink goes with orange and green? Purple and orange also great contrasts. Did you know that if you take those pants and the pink vest and the orange heels with wooden  sole, you would look so chic. Do remember colours do vary with the colour of your skin and the type of body!

Shoe Closet

I've been debating with myself about which shoe closet is best open on shelves or shoes in a box with pictures in front of the box to highlight the shoe. Found these I can't remember where... So what would you choose? Or rather what looks neater?

I would find it easier to just see every shoe on display

With boxes, i'd probably not wear all out of not being bothered to start looking and also to start putting them back uggh! Yes I can be lazy at times : )

Work Wear Love

When it comes to work, I always keep it to the classics.

Sheath Dresses

White button downs, pencil skirts (high waisteD and regular), classy bags depending on my day, kitten heels for running around like a headless chicken.  Minimal jewellery of-course you don't want to be overwhelming flashy at work

I love this vest, I think it's the only piece I am missing from my closet.

I am not a suit person, so when there's a very important meeting I keep it strictly Sheath dresses/ dresses and kitten heels.  If it's less serious then you'll find me in a pencil skirt and a shirt or blouse. I've learned due to my career path how to be casual smart on the days you wear jeans. that's a lesson for another day. Either way keep it comfortable.

If you are pregnant and look this stunning then you deserve this Ms Tia Mowry... I used to love her in sister sister (with her twin sister Tamera), I wouldn't miss that show for the world. As soon as I came back from school, i'd do my homework really fast and I have my shows set, rugrats (I loved me some Angelica meanness) sister sister and moesha. Oooh good ol' days! Tia has since grown into a very glamourous woman now in 'The Game,' which I am starting to get hooked on whenever I can get time to watch.

What a beautiful glow... I hope i'll be as stunning when my time comes ; )

Julez For Japan

This is what I call style with a cause, My favourite Knowles sister has made T-shirts to help the victims of the Japan natural disasters. After her son Julez was so moved about the happenings in Japan he started doing watermarks of the Japanese flag. The T-shirts are Fabulously named after her son, Julez for Japan and all proceeds will go towards helping japanese people affected by the very recent Natural disasters. Such an excellent idea and so worth it... I want one!

Solange expressed her excitement about her son wanting to give back:

“He did a watercolor of the Japanese flag and we’re making shirts and totes [bags] and note cards and we’re gonna sell them locally here and donate the proceeds. We’re really excited about it.”
