Which one are you??

We all are different and the way we dress can tell a lot about us. Today I want to know which of these are you:

This is my favorite 07 style, the highwaisted puff skirt modeled by Carolina Herrera
The chic girly look
The girly primp look
The primp lady
The lady look
The runway look that a lot of celebrities have been embracing
The flowing lady
The cute n' proper kelly look

or the primp n' proper SJP look

Classics: Black n' White

You know no matter how we evolve our style and try to invent new ways to make ourselves believe that we are moving on, somethings will always remain. It's like, history will always stay with you and after you die, it will continue to be classic and be more and more treasured. Sometimes life just needs to be black and white:
I absolutely love both the looks that saleisha is wearing for seventeen magazine, it proves you can be youthful and classy.
growing old doesn't mean leaving the past behind, it just means take the experiences you've learned and grow gracefully.

What's next...

Last year was all about the high waisted everything, trousers, jeans, skirt, then the shiny and colourful leggings, then to the bowed tops, and frilled shirts and blouses...ooh without forgetting the bubble hemmed style. So you may ask, what's next?
The colours expected to rule are as follows:

Transparency  and shine
Escape to the fantasy island
Eco awareness, don't mean gabbage

Ankle Length Chic

Old school comes to new age

Hollywood Glamour

Heavy Metal sparkle
Frills and chills

Technicolor Explosion

Calm, warm Pastels

P.S. Just because it's the trend don't mean it would suit you, be comfortable and look radiant whatever trend you choose to wear.

Holiday

Alright, so Christmas day we went out for lunch as we always do at our family friend's house and they come to ours on new years eve. After lunch me and my girlies decided we should go watch a movie at mlimani city

By the way for those who do not  know, Mlimani city is a Shopping centre in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
So anyway, when we got there just before we got the tickets for American Gangster, guess what?

The electricity went off, can you believe that....so we were all just shouting yeaaahaay, after 5 minutes it came back. So we decided not to watch the movie, and headed outside where there is restaurants....samaki samaki is nice by the way  (they have seafood and outside is like a pub, where you can chill). So we sat around and had our drinks, only for the lights to go off again and this time, it was surprising cuz;
Everyone was busy laughing and enjoying their Christmas evening. oooh how I love Africa.  Anyway, I decided to do some FT fashion watch...and came to find this young lady
Wearing a frilled shirt and a high waisted skirt, she looked very nice, with a nice african inspired bangle; minimal jewellery!! I liked that, (photo taken by my cuz sis, thanks). unfortunately my FT watch ended there as I became very busy for the rest of my holiday.

After the mlimani fiasco, we headed to giraffe hotel for some fun with the rest of the family and danced our night away to:
Music from DJs: Amo blaze, Sebbo and Bush Baby
Then the Kilimanjaro Band

It was however interesting seeing people wearing jeans tacked in high boots in the december heat. I also did get to spend a bit of time at java lounge, seriously I did not see what the hype was...

Irish pub however, on wednesdays, was absolutely fun!!Me and my lil' sis did our worst version of ain't no mountain high enough aahhahaha!!Over all we did enjoy ourselves...

Just passed through Kempinski for a bit!
PEACE and LOVE...Yours Trully FT.

Resolution

I am sure each and everyone of us has made their new years resolutions mine is just:

"get to the next stage," you may ask next stage of what?
Well, everything in life, I recently finished my my second postgraduate degree in media graphic design. Enough is enough...I always say that but end up thinking maybe I should do french and perfect my french. That I will do. But my new year resolution is to make all my dreams happen, whether it's FT or working in Media or other things that I have to do.
You know most of us academics find it very easy to be comfortable with continuing studying well it's time, another stage called 'life' starts here. I thank God I am accomplishing my dreams slowly but i'll get there and tie the knot.

What's your resolution and do you find it hard to move from ground and change things? Well, remember this, don't fear the familiar, you'll get used to the change, it's probably better for you!! Here is a little african couture...

Move over, here i come!!

Back to Business

Heey y'all, yep she is back. Happy New Year to you all!!
Sorry for being gone for too long but heeey...a rest was needed not that I did rest.
Anyway, I tried several times to fit in some FT time but was't able to due to various engagements. I was happy and amused by the comments I read. I am always grateful to all who view my blog, just to answer all of you who wrote about the photo posted. As I stated, ignore the picture well basically because that isn't me, just another fashionista. But I do appreciate your comments, I couldn't stop laughing when I read them whilst transiting in Dubai.
My short but absolutely fabulous holiday was great,
As usual I never sat still, and put in time for event management as I also do that at times,
This was for New Years, it was fun...
One down part is I alreayd miss my family and home,
Maaan, Tanzania is beautiful and I for one, am proud to be Tanzanian, do visit if you haven't!!
I did however try to put in some fashion watch time and I will post a photo of a young lady I photographed whilst at Mlimani City.
I will be fully back soon, as I have a few things to sort out.
Thank you all for visiting Finishing Touches...your input is always welcome.
P.S. The above picture is me. And for the person who requested I put my face, I'm afraid this blog is solely for fashion (what to wear) and interior design so maybe some day.
