I love my Mama, she is a blessing and the best, been there for me through thick and thin! I love to see her smile, she has the most beautiful laugh. Straight from the heart, she is so sweet when she is shy : )

So Eskado Bird won the award for the best stall! It was nicely laid out like a little boutique where you'd love to look at everything! Congrats Eskado!

This was my favourite favourite collection, of the night! It was suede and leather perfection! Just see after the jump for yourself

This collection, I absolutely want the mens trousers for myself! They are so funky comfortable and colourful! I want, I want, I want!

Day 3 was a vibrant day, set up was so great for a catwalk as it allowed you to be up close with the clothes. My only disappointment was that it was so packed that there were no sits and it was extremely hot. But I wasn't so disappointed to stand with the photographers as I got to see closer (dispite my feet being not so happy). I chose the designs I really adored of the day!

Another designer that I favoured more of the men wear than the women's wear is Ailinda Sawe

And the winner is, Miss Doreen Estazia Noni! Woohoo! So our vote counted, she won emerging designer award and the most impressive stall award. Her collection was trendsetting rather than copied from what's already around. The finishing was excellent, and the collection is ready for orders : ) it included layering and large pockets, a very funky and edgy collection! We love it Miss Bird!

Manju Msita actually had women's wear too but I loved his sharpness on the mens wear

SFW 2: MADE BY AFRICA

Another one of my favourites of the night, a collection called Safari! It seems many designers wanted wearable collections. I could see myself buying a lot of these! Earth tones were dominant with a hint animal prints.

SFW 2: FRANKOO DESIGNS

The collection was edgy, it seemed frills were the main focus of the collection. Very well executed!

SFW 2: HOUSE OF ZIRIAN

One of my favourites for the night, a nicely put together collection by the Ugandan designer. I absolutely loved each piece.

Ki2 designs were actually quite nicely put together. Her Tie and dye combination of colours and those necklaces were just gorgeous

SFW Day 2: KEMI KALIKAWE

The very bubbly and lovely Miss Kemi's line consisted of lace and kitenge materials, it was a lovely wearable mix. I fell in love with the jewellery. Kemi's show actually started with a THT dancer in the background which was pretty artistic and exciting. Keep it up Kemi!

SWAHILI FASHION WEEK DAY 1

Sorry guys, I actually have not gone MIA but rather been busy with work and at night going to SFW. First day had a great vibe despite minor hitches (rain stopped the show for a bit). I was impressed by fellow boutique owner's collection, KIKI'S FASHIONs on this first day. Great work, checkout pictures. Sorry I forgot my camera so had to use my iPhone. I went with my beautiful mama and who was invited by EVE's collection. It was lovely spending time with mama and sat with Mustafa Hassan Ali whose actually quite a fun person. Got little insights that added to my enjoying the event. The Models are from Kenya, uganda, Zambia, Botswana and Sudan. I absolutely fell in love with this dark Sudanese Model, whose catwalk was perfect. Didn't quite get her name will get it tonight when I attend the last day of SFW. Anyway Enjoy:

When you enter the building, you are welcomed with stalls of different shops and designers selling their items. Others being intervied, flashing everywhere! Great atmosphere as a whole!
