Jewellery love

There's nothing like a unique accessory that makes everyone think wow! whether it's a good wow or a what were you thinking!
Would you wear this! I don't but I kinda like
nice
I love these

The new craze in necklaces... I heart and I want

In my Shoes...

Can a woman's shoes describe her personality? You tell me... In that case I am an eclectic woman cuz these are my choices depending on how my mood is like on that particular day:
I love flats, especially sandals like these... freeing my pedicured feet
Although at times I can come out in the highest of heels you wouldn't believe how i'm walking in that! Just cuz I absolutely love shoes with a character
Gladiator style is so in fashion right now so girls get your pedicure on and choose the best nail colour for your toes
Nothing like the feeling when you wear a red shoe... it's like the hotness of a red dress
Cute as hell... I can imagine a pencil skirt and a simple shirt. Sometimes you have to let the shoes do the talking

For those days I feel like being comfortable but still want to be lifted higher than the sky... I do wedges... comfy as hell yet still accentuate your long legs... which mine are!

Work time

I am an eclectic person when it comes to work. Of course it depends on what you work as. I refuse to wear only suits to work, ok fine I work in an environment where I can where anything I want as long as I am not meeting clients. Somedays you'll find me in jeans, some in a dress as long as I feel like wearing it that day I will. I don't believe a lawyer or accounts people need to wear only suits... apart from men (wearing jeans to the court so does not work):
I love this dress, have a black and grey in similar styles that makes me feel like a professional lady when I adorn them
Must have black shoes, at least a pair, peep toe, closed toe whatever... if you work requires you to run around like a maniac like mine does at times then comfy shoes are a must!

For some reasons, I feel so comfortable and still very professional when i wear dresses to work, one like this would keep you chic yet work friendly. Trust me
Can be worn with a nice pencil skirt or long trousers, tucked in or untucked, with jeans and a jacket it can also work
At times, I will dress like this to work because that's how I feel, it is still appropriate yet not over the top and in my line of work, it definitely fits in
Totally me this is! Casual smart yet still funky
You can do this too
Aaah wrap dress, it is perfect for work, comfy and still looking like the fashionista you are

This is also so me, although I like to fold the arms of the jacket for that extra funky creative like look!

Anyway, my point is have fun with your work clothes, but by any means do not dress inappropriate for your work place. Know your limits but look fabulous

FT's picks...

I haven't done this for so long now... so today I remembered y'all might need some help in putting all things fabulously together! Have fun ladies... and have your own style!
That day when you want to look cute casual but still chic
Cute again
That boyfriend blazer can be so sexy remember to fold the hands of the blazer for that funky look
For my sexy petits...  or my tall slim ladies... this is so cute

for those days, you want to feel like the lady you already are!

Trust me! : P

African Couture ...

vlisco does it again... celebrating nature in the most creative of ways.
I even love the models actually... they make the very colourful outfits something extra!

I love it all....

I love people who take risks and not always stay on the safe side! This is how it's done!

Doreen

I have in so many times said that I am not impressed by the products most of African especially East African designers come up with. Especially the finished product is always looking frumpy and not well thought of. The best designers in Africa definitely reside in the West and South the stoned cherries and more we see in our catwalks but mostly fabulously by West Africans. They have truly mastered the art of modern Africa.

Today, I am proud to present to you all someone who has impressed me by a very far! Unique and exquisite! Her attention to detail and the finished product has made my mind change about our ability to be just that, Perfect! How I came across her, well one beautiful fashionista had passed by my mum's hair and beauty salon and she had the most beautiful of bags made using a mix of leather and a kitenge (African fabric)! I asked her and she proudly said, "darling, this is a Doreen Mashika." I said I must find this designer, so last week I passed by Kempinski Hotel and was browsing through the shops, and guess what I found. There the bags, the shoes... I couldn't help but just buy the best wedges I have ever worn. Despite the over pricing which is totally worth it! So, as always, not one to keep the best to myself... Ladies today I present to you...

Tanzanian born accessories designer Doreen Mashika. Having worked abroad in the Fashion and luxury goods sector, Doreen’s work boasts the intricate attention to detail during the production process.
She works with African raw materials such as kitenge fabric, stones, maasai and glass beads to create Africanized opulent accessories. The individuality of her style has created a healthy demand for her products which are retailing in Zanzibar, Tanzania and soon in Nairobi.

Just one word, "Beautiful," I must find time to meet this lovely woman who is creating my dream of seeing like these come true.
