The right fit... snuggle em'

When it comes to trousers and jeans, if it ain't totally perfect I wont buy it. The butt has to look good, your proportion should look normal and enhance what you want to enhance, sit comfortably on the waist even low rise have got to be comfortable, I can't stand bulging tummies when one sits! So ladies... whenever you shop for trousers and jeans, try them, walk on them and sit down, try them with a short tee or long, how does it feel? if you feel any pinching, bulging meat, makes you look like you are a sack of potatoes instead of giving you the shape you have or want! It's a no... no... perfect trousers and jeans should let you work, walk, run and dance in them... or and sit and eat in them

The Good Wife’s Guide

I found this ad thought wow! How many of us actually do or would do this?

From Housekeeping Monthly, 13 May, 1955

Have dinner ready. Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready, on time for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have been thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they come home and the prospect of a good meal (especially his favorite dish) is part of the warm welcome needed.

Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you’ll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh-looking. He has just been with a lot of work-weary people.

Be a little gay and a little more interesting for him. His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to provide it.
Clear away the clutter. Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before your husband arrives.
Gather up schoolbooks, toys, paper, etc. and then run a dustcloth over the tables.

Over the cooler months of the year you should prepare and light a fire for him to unwind by. Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give you a lift too. After all, catering for his comfort will provide you with immense personal satisfaction.

Prepare the children. take a few minutes to wash the children’s hands and faces (if they are small), comb their hair and, if necessary, change their clothes. They are little treasures and he would like to see them playing the part. Minimize all noise. At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise of the washer, dryer or vacuum. Try to encourage the children to be quiet.
Be happy to see him.

Greet him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him.

Listen to him. You may have a dozen important things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first - remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours.

Make the evening his. Never complain if he comes home late or goes out to dinner, or other places of entertainment without you. Instead, try to understand his world of strain and pressure and his very real need to be at home and relax.

Your goal: try to make sure your home is a place of peace, order and tranquility where your husband can renew himself in body and spirit.

Don’t greet him with complaints and problems.

Don’t complain if he’s late home for dinner or even if he stays out all night. Count this as minor compared to what he might have gone through that day.

Make him comfortable. have him lean back in a comfortable chair of have him lie down in the bedroom. Have a cool or warm drink ready for him.

Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soothing and pleasant voice.

Don’t ask him questions about his actions or question his judgment or integrity. Remember, he is the master of the house and as such will always exercise his will with fairness and truthfulness. You have no right to question him.

A good wife always knows her place.

Liya's kids

Fashion Savvy woman

Our daily fashion spotting continues...

His royal hotness Mr danceoff himself the beautifully created Channing Tatum, How swagging that suit. I love it!

Is this Drew, why is she so pale and that hair baby girl mmh mmh! Why is it when actresses come from a movie (Beyonce to name a few but she is wanna be actress that's a different story) fill the need to still channel their character. I am not liking that hair but I looooooooove that dress... lets keep it strictly fashion on this one. minimal accessorizing beautiful

Yeah my tag line is Finishing Touches to you and your home but I am so neglecting the home bit lately. So today, I am just so excited to be sharing the most breathtaking sleeping havens in my book (umm... yeah right) but truly spectacular
Very chic boudoir, I love that bed and the purple and pink pillows really take the attention of the wallpaper balancing the look out. and touch up the finishing
Conservative, it almost looks like there are no walls

Spectacular ain't it...

Creativity prevails

I work in a creative environment so I am always looking for that something extra in everything. If something does not challenge me. I for one will not even give it the time of day, I speak my mind when I don't like something... and it has gotten me into trouble at times but I always drive the change. SO to day I embrace the creative world:
I just absolutely fell deeply in love with the bottle I can even Identify the target market. I love it!
How many things do you do/ or touch with your hands every single day? Wont you use dettol hand wash at the though of it. I totally would after this advert. The art of creativity...
So, we all see these do not drink and drive signs on the roads etcetera, but what about this... when you enter the club you are stamped don't drink and drive and call a cab! I love creative people

Another 1st class advert... for sky diving... just have this picture on the floor of an elevator and feel the rush! I love it

The It Girl!

Ladies,
Another feature for you all! I love keeping up with style and everyday on E! TV I noticed this cute petit madame that always talks about the latest fashions. And once she was close to nine months pregnant still looking slim with a mini dress and 5 inch stilletos! I was like wow... beautiful! On a regular basis, as much as i'd love to adorn stilletos, my legs tell me NO please NO! Sometimes, I just feel like the giant in the room, I am not that tall but I have long legs that are over extended in a nice way when I wear high heels. Anyway I decided to find out more about this petit madame and I was so excited to learn she is part Tanzanian! Much love to my beautiful one... ladies I present to you

Amanda Luttrell Garrigus was born in Tanzania's capital city of Dar es Salaam to a Louisiana-born father and a native Tanzanian mother. Her family moved to Toronto, Canada when she was three years old. Amanda graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honors Bachelor of Arts Degree followed by post-graduate studies in Magazine Journalism at the highly-regarded Ryerson University. She began her career in fashion journalism as an editorial intern at Flare and then as Associate Fashion Editor at Fashion Magazine. Throughout the course of her career Amanda has worked for magazines including Allure, Vogue and Glamour and as a stylist for celebrity clients including Mariah Carey. For several years she helmed Angeleno, Los Angeles' biggest fashion/lifestyle magazine as its most visible Editor-in-Chief. Amanda is a well-respected fixture in the LA fashion scene and an up-and-coming on-air personality. Today Amanda divides her time between her on-camera reporting assignments for a variety of programs including E! Networks' The Daily 10, and her ongoing role as Special Correspondent/Los Angeles for Flare.

Rihanna has recently been flaunting a new Michael Jackson in the thriller era inspired do! Do we love it... ummm... what do you say? The cute singer Cassie looks like she did a britney then realized hell no I love my hair do and she still looks cute but I'm not sure!

For the things we love and those who we lost

I came across this advert that Michelle Williams shot for 'until there's a cure campaign' and I love the bracelets that make a difference in our lives! Until there's a cure many will die, until there's a cure we should continue the fight, until there's a cure... until!

And for the things we love I just fell in love with these shoes. Pure perfection!
